Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Construction Manager works with the project management team and the company as a whole to oversee the daily management, coordination, supervision, and successful completion of projects This role also includes interpreting prepared plans and specifications in providing oversight of construction projects, enforcing codes, ordinances and construction techniques related to projects. The Construction Manager also helps with business development, creating and managing relationships with clients, project managers, and subcontractors. This is a salaried position, with work times to be determined by the needs of the project and company.

• Perform a thorough review of incoming projects
• Ability to organize and coordinate workload to determine the priority of duties
• Maintain project tracking system to ensure field and upper management are up to date with project progress • Provide oversight,
leadership and mentorship to our operations team performing services in the region • Manage active jobs and inspectors as necessary
in the area to ensure all areas of inspection are covered to the client’s satisfaction and all work is completed to meet specifications
• Work in conjunction with the Construction Manager to ensure effective crew and resource allocation.
• Issue out work & coordinate with appropriate departments to ensure locates are requested and material picklists are created • Work closely
with the operations team, specifically the project manager, and operations manager to communicate progress and resolve issues of work
under construction
• Actively builds and maintains a positive partnership with customers, subcontractors, municipalities, and inspectors.
• Work with field supervision to manage project risk and give direction based on information
• Deal with day-to-day customer interactions to ensure project needs and issues are addressed
• Perform weekly audits on a project to verify progress, ensure quality, and meet forecast projections
• Hold weekly Project overview meeting with Lead Supervisor
• Hold weekly progress syncs with customer
• Audit all project closeout packages to ensure quality and consistency of deliverables to the customer • During the time frame all contract
work is being done the Construction Manager will be responsible for an appropriate inspection of the work being performed up to and
including the final inspection.
• Ensure field personnel is adhering to all company policies and procedures • Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure quality
standards are met
• Ability to work safely and without direct supervision
• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance
• Additional duties as assigned

Education and Work Experience Requirements:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external teams
• Excellent computer proficiency (Word, Excel, Field Wire)
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude
• Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion
• High school diploma or GED required
• Associate degree preferred or three years of relevant work experience
• Experience in Department management and Supervisory role overseeing direct reports of 3+
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred but not required
• Valid Driver’s License (Required), CDL Class A or Class B (Preferred), DOT Med card (Required)
• OSHA10 & 30 Certifications (Preferred)

Workplace & Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to perform the essential job functions safely and successfully
• Candidate must possess the ability to talk, listen and speak clearly on the telephone
• Must be able to stand, walk, sit, and crouch for extended periods
• Work is performed both inside and outside in all weather conditions, on rugged terrains, and active job sites
