We request that applicants possess the following qualifications: a valid Certificate of Insurance (COI), ownership or access to a reliable truck, a comprehensive set of tools, essential safety gear, and a profound expertise in aerial construction practices.
Other Requirements
We welcome subcontractor groups to join our team as well. We have a substantial need for additional crews, and we can accommodate up to 10 additional subcontractor crews. This is an excellent opportunity for subcontractors to collaborate with us and contribute their expertise to our projects.
Job Description
Are you a skilled and experienced Fiber Optic Aerial Lineman ( Crew ) looking for a new opportunity? We are currently seeking dedicated professionals to join our team in Ohio. As a Fiber Optic Aerial Lineman, you will play a crucial role in installing and maintaining fiber optic lines, ensuring efficient and reliable telecommunications infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
Install fiber optic lines using aerial techniques, including hanging strand and fiber.
Perform aerial construction activities such as lashing, overhead pole line construction, and fiber optic cable placement.
Operate and maintain equipment, including bucket trucks and splicing gear.
Splice fiber optic cables, if skilled and qualified, to ensure optimal performance and connectivity.
Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, maintaining a safe working environment at all times.
Collaborate with team members and project managers to meet installation deadlines and project requirements.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Fiber Optic Aerial Lineman, with expertise in installing fiber optic lines using aerial techniques.
Ability to hang strand and fiber with precision and efficiency.
Proficiency in fiber optic cable splicing, if applicable.
Possession of personal tools and equipment, including a bucket truck, lashing gear, splicing gear, and all required safety gear.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in the telecommunications industry.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, while maintaining a high level of professionalism and accountability.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and provide clear updates to project managers.
Demonstrated capability to install 2000 to 5000 feet of strand and fiber per day, or approximately 8000 to 16000 feet per week, as part of an aerial crew.
