High School Diploma or equivalent / 2 years' experience locating for a directional drill / Previous experience as Directional Drill Rig Operator is an asset. / Must possess and maintain a clean driver’s abstract and valid full-driver's license appropriate to the requirements of the vehicle being driven – CDL-A preferred.

Good mechanical aptitude Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Ability to read, understand and carry out instructions. Must be comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor environments.

The Directional Drill Locator will provide directional drill head location services for the Directional Drill Operator around and/or on utilities for fiber installation projects. Operate Directional Drill Locator equipment in accordance with company and industry standards. Responsible for assisting Drill Operator in locating drill head and drilling in accordance with blueprints. Verify locate marks and confirm location of existing facilities. Assist with clean-up and other duties as assigned. The Locater is responsible for maintaining equipment per manufacturer’s specifications and safety guidelines. • Must have proven track record locating for a Horizontal Direction Drill (HDD)

Maintains company equipment per service requirements and safety guidelines. Responsible for checking and maintaining equipment and tools. Other duties may include assisting the construction department from time to time with other aspects of utility construction including aerial work.
