Our onboarding process is 2-3 weeks from the time an offer is extended.

Pay

$22/HR plus $2,000 Sign-On Bonus. Paid out as $1,000 on your second paycheck and $1,000 on your 6 month paycheck. (12 month claw back if you leave under a year)

Qualifications

Outdoor work experience, heights, customer service is a plus, previous install experience is a plus but not required. All tools are provided as well as company vehicle, cell phone, laptop and shirts.

Other Requirements

Must already be living with-in a 30 minute radius of where the position you are interested is located as these are local positions. Must have a valid Driver's License, clean acceptable driving record per DOT standards. Must pass a drug screen and a criminal background check. Must also have High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).

Job Description

Job Summary:

The Field Installation Technician requires excellent customer service skills and technical ability. The position requires completing customer installations, service visits, on-site troubleshooting, and recovery of equipment. Work is performed on site at customer locations both with a physical aspect of installing Internet equipment, as well as a technical portion of updating databases.

Essential Functions:

Perform site surveys for potential customers to evaluate serviceability.
Diagnose customer problems at service calls and restore functional service to existing customers.
Install new customers with Internet service based on technology available, which includes mounting equipment at or above roof height, running Cat5-E or Fiber Optic cable from outside to the customer’s desired location.
Configure routers and customer computers for access to Internet services.
Perform equipment upgrades for existing customers

Must be able to use tools to install equipment.
Education and Experience:

High school diploma or GED equivalent required.

Work Environment/Hazards:

Working in outdoor elements such as cold, hot, precipitation and wind
In proximity of heavy machinery and moving vehicles
Moderate noise level
Use of PPE
Working in elevated places such as towers
Physical Demands:

Frequently moving, transporting, positioning objects of at least 60 pounds or more
Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffoldings, ramps, poles and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms
Must be able to climb roof tops of all types and to perform job duties from high places.
Must be able to pull own body weight plus equipment weight up roofs and vertical tower repeatedly
Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, sit, and climb ladders and communication towers and work in an elevated position
Frequently required to use hand and power tools
Must have the ability to climb extended heights upwards of 200 feet
Employee weight and tools combines may not exceed 300-pound limit as specified by the manufacturer of safety equipment.
Working Hours/Days:

40 hours minimum, flexible schedule
Overtime as needed
On Call as needed
Travel Requirements:

0-40% travel required
