Qualifications
must have 3+ years of experience splicing and activating/balancing. Experience working with RPD Nodes and actives is helpful but not required. What is required is good craftsmanship and quality work.
Other Requirements
Need bucket and meter (preferably XM2, if you do not have one we will provide it), all hand tools, coring tools etc. Standard Comcast background check and drug screens required prior to work. MUST carry WC and GL insurance.
Job Description
The work we're looking for assistance with: Genesis Node and Active swap. Splicing and optimizing new nodes and swapping all actives in each node.
We are looking for assistance with amp swaps and optimizing and splicing new RPD Nodes. Once the nodes are cut in the amp swaps are full speed ahead. Also looking for fiber splicers to assist with day to day work as well as the fiber splicing for new Nodes.
Must be able to read and understand prints and troubleshoot your work. This is production splicing, not service work. It is critical to communicate as a team and keep a clear line of communication. Anyone that has participated in these types of projects understands it's a team effort. Aerial and UG work, street side and rear easement.
Interested in singles, teams or companies with multiple splicers available. Dependability is everything. We are working to put together a team to cover Central Illinois. This is a multi year project for quality splicers. The spec is a complete housing and connector swap. The work is paid per location. Splicing and activation needs to be complete and hands off by 4 pm. We are an established Prime.
