High School Degree or GED required. Knowledge and skills usually acquired through training in cable television and broadband installations and one to two years of experience in telecommunications plant operations. Must have a Valid Drivers License

Employees utilize company vehicles for transportation to the various service areas. Employee will drive in order to install and maintain our equipment to give our customers the superior service they expect and deserve.

The Combination Technician is responsible for the installation, servicing, and upgrading of broadband, cable television and phone services at customer premises and for corresponding connection to the central office. Most technicians concentrate on installing initial wiring or rewiring for new subscriber systems. The Combination technician must be familiar with all facilities of the exchange distribution network. In addition, combination technicians repair trouble in fiber facilities, cable plant, and telephones, works with central office personnel to diagnose and repair trouble in systems and related equipment. Installs and maintains equipment for diversified telco services
Other responsibilities include:
• Ability to install cable television and broadband services and run trouble.
• Ability to splice coax.
• Competent to work on FTTH (Fiber to the Home) equipment.
• Ability to install cable modems, set top boxes and DSL modems.
• Can splice or assist with splicing fiber (willing to learn how to splice)
