Job Description
300k Customers in PA switching from coax to fiber and Each active customer will need be changed over. This is a 2 year project. We Currently have 5 crews and looking for 5 more starting as early as 3-6-2023.
There is no splicing, the drops are pre made with connectors. We are hanging "'cold" drops, leaving a neat tie wrapped coil at the terminal and at the existing house box. These drops are only being run to existing coax customers. Work is issued by the PON so there is limited driving, the work is "tight" geographically. We are using all new span clamps, and we are not to attach to any poles (exception is private sub poles). We are using the existing p hook at the house, and tie wrapping the fiber along with the existing coax to the house box. There is a protective sleeve we put on to protect the connectors while they sit waiting for the inside work to be scheduled and completed. We are requiring pictures for self qc documentation.
This resembles a storm drop project if you have experience with that. Same Node/PON per tech until complete.
