Area manager / planning manager
Experienced only "UTILITY CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER / Supervise over: "Excavator Operators", "Vacuum excavation operators". “Bore operators and utility locators”. Installing fiber optics. Looking for people with a utility construction management background, "fiber and copper" for this position. The area manager position involves the understanding of engineered communication prints and producing a detailed invoice from a complex billing system. Underground and aerial work. Must be able to motivate your crews and maximize profits. Will be dealing with hourly workers and sub-contractors. Must work well with Microsoft office. Local Northwest Arkansas work. 4 years in the field preferred for the management positions. Must be production minded. 2785 Liberty Ave Tontitown Ark. AT&T and other utilities projects. We work in NWA and Ft. Smith. Must make an appointment for an interview. Experienced only. Do not apply if you have not managed crews working on underground utilities. Position will be working directly for the operations manager. Long term work. Pay based on experience. Interviews on Tuesdays and Thursdays face to face only.
Requirements:
· Experience in fiber/copper placement preferred with AT&T or other large communications company.
· Four or more years of relevant work experience as a field manager or area manager.
· Availability to work extended hours when necessary, including weekends and after hours and on call as required for the needs of the business.
· Valid driver’s license. Clean driving record.
* Even better if you have one or more of the following:
· Four or more years of knowledge of installation and maintenance on copper or fiber technology with a utility construction background.
· Supervisory experience in a field operations/fiber environment.
· Experience in administering processes and policies as they relate to: safety, attendance, performance work rules and code of conduct.
· Experience with communication systems and tools.
· Experience providing training, feedback and motivation to employees.
· Strong organizational, time-priority management and results oriented leadership skills.
· Proven ability to interpret labor contracts.
· Experience with reading underground maps, running Bore Machines, Mini Excavators, and Directional Bore machine a plus!
