Job Description
Responsibilities
• Learn to read and understand, interpret, input, and analyze data with a high degree of accuracy and completeness
• Learn to operate technical equipment, including but not limited to computer, OTDR and fusion splicing equipment, and understand the functioning thereof
• Learn to complete daily production reports to document work performed
• Learn proper use of hand tools, ladders, and equipment to assist in the completion of an assigned project
• Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and work areas in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations
• Lift and manipulate splice enclosures and other plant and equipment
• Work safely, with or without supervision
• Excellent manual dexterity
• Work comfortably in cramped and/or enclosed spaces for extended periods
• Work aloft, either from a ladder, aerial lift device, or by gaffing
• Additional Duties as assigned
Qualifications
• Prior experience preferred
• Attention to detail a must
• Owns basic hand tools
• Familiar with hand tools and equipment. (Wrenches, Drills, Ladders, Lanyards, Forklifts, Saws, etc.) a plus
• Follow instructions and communicate verbally and in writing
• Valid Driver’s License; CDL License is a plus
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, background, and motor vehicle record check.
Preferred Qualifications
• Certified pole climber or capable of demonstrating proficiency as a pole climber preferred
Physical Requirements
• Must be able to lift/carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs as needed with or without assistance
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions
