The salary range for this position is $80,000.00 to $125,000.00 annually. The salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, and relevant work experience. Medical, dental, and vision, 401K, PTO

Qualifications

5+ years fiber optic work experience; 1+ years Leadership Experience. High School diploma or equivalent work experience. Associates degree in electronics or related field, or equivalent work experience. Industry or vendor specific certifications a plus.

Other Requirements

Valid Drivers License with satisfactory driving record. Must pass criminal background check. Must pass pre-employment drug and annual drug screening

Job Description

Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
Coordinate with upper management in the designing of fiber builds, draw and sketch design for installation of equipment and placement of fiber cable, complete bill of materials (BOM) as needed for planned construction.
Monitor contractor performance and ensure adherence to terms and conditions of sub-contractor agreement.
Perform site inspections for quality control for both in-house and subcontractor labor to ensure the client’s SOW is met for all work.
Timely review and approval of all testing, quality control items, and invoicing for both client and sub-contractor, as applicable.
Coordinate any permitting as needed.
Review and process damage complaints based on standard company practice.
Communicate effectively with management to provide updates for all projects.
Establish positive employee relations through effective communication and ongoing support.
Adhere to industry specific, local, state, and federal regulations, as applicable.
Know, understand and follow company policies.
Perform other duties as requested by upper management.
Required Qualifications:
Ability to use an OTDR and accurately interpret testing results.
Able to read a fiber matrix.
Able to read fiber design prints.
Knowledge on both mechanical and fusion splicing of both loose tube and ribbon fiber
Ability to read and write the English language in order to communicate with employees, customers, suppliers, in person, on the phone, and via written communications in a clear, straightforward, and professional manner.
Ability to prioritize and organize effectively.
Demonstrate leadership qualities.
Ability to supervise and motivate others.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Ability to work independently as well as in a group setting.
Ability to use computer and software applications.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Ability to use hand tools including but not limited to electric drills, hammers, screwdrivers, wrenches, etc.
Ability to operate computers and equipment associated with position (e.g., OTDR, fusion splicer, VFL, power testers, signal level meters, OHM meter, traffic identifier, etc.)
Ability to walk over all types of terrain in all kinds of weather conditions while carrying tools and equipment.
Ability to carry and use ladders, including extension ladder (~32’ high and in excess of 90lbs) when needed.
Ability to accurately measure distances, using tapes or other measuring devices.
Ability to differentiate between sizes and colors of fiber cable wires.
Ability to make cable connections in tight spaces by bending, reaching, and twisting.
Ability to perform duties in high spaces (i.e., utility poles and roofs).
Ability to work while standing 50%-70% of the time.
Ability to drive a company vehicle in a safe and responsible manner.
Knowledge of National Electric Code and National Electric Safety Code.
