Qualifications
Should have extensive experience in: troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of Hybrid Fiber Coax cable systems. Must be capable of climbing ladders and using a bucket lift truck. Should be able to sweep and balance coax plant after a span replacement or module replacement or diplexer upgrade. Must be a fast learner as training will be provided to close any skill gaps
Other Requirements
Valid Driver's License, CDL preferred. Must pass background and drug tests.
Job Description
A successful Maintenance Technician will be able to:
Install, maintain, and repair cable infrastructure.
Perform maintenance on existing cabling systems.
Test newly installed or relocated cables according to company specifications.
Identify and removing redundant cabling.
Troubleshooting issues with the cable network.
Install cable support structures
Complete paperwork such as timesheets, checklists, vehicle inspection reports, and service orders.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
Previous work experience as a cable technician.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and fix any problems that may arise
Ability to work at heights
Ability to identify independent colors and learn color codes
Valid driver's license
