Qualifications

Strong Background in FTTH Design and construction. Working knowledge of telecommunications operations, procedures, and service offerings, with an understanding of FTTH Internet, Phone, or VOIP services. Ability to organize, prioritize, assign, and delegate multiple assignments and tasks. Analytical skills in reporting and problem solving. Self-managed, highly motivated and has a strong drive for results. 5 years managing fiber network deployments. 5 years of OSP engineering/Construction exp

Other Requirements

Valid Drivers license. Class A CDL with current medical card preferred.

Job Description

Position Summary
This position manages the team responsible for the successful overall fiber construction of FTTH networks. The team consists of an OSP Foreman who is the drill and plow operator, Fiber Splicer, Fiber tech 1, Fiber tech 2, and Fiber tech 3. The fiber techs duties will be but not limited to, utility protection, drill locator, restoration, structure installations including but not limited to, Fiber Vaults, Flowerpots, Cabinets, etc.…

Essential Job Functions
*Develops full scale project plans and timelines for construction. Defines and recommends staffing and resource allocations. Provides progress updates and communicates to the General Manager on a regular basis.
*Manages and monitors the daily activities of Construction, ensuring accuracy, efficiencies, analysis and resolving work problems.
*Continually monitors and oversees projects to ensure accuracy, compliance and completion dates are established.
*Coaches, motivates and mentors teams, ensures efficiencies and productivity in all processes.
*Adjusts business processes and staff expectations based on Key Performance Indicators. Develops and manages the OSP FTTH team to promote internal growth
*Develops and manages relationships with key government entities and customers.
*Other duties as assigned.
