Job Description

The primary responsibility of the Production Foreman is to oversee all aspects of work that is completed in the field by Installation Professionals (IPs) while working in alignment with Installation Supervisors, Office Managers, and Regional Supervisors to ensure that productivity meets and/or exceeds capacity. The Production Foreman oversees the daily work of IPs while they are in the field in order to ensure that their work is being carried out per the Installation Supervisor and the company’s plan. Someone in this role will have a direct impact on the production level of IPs and be a liaison between IPs, Installation Supervisors, and Office Managers. Additional responsibilities will include overseeing the completion of tasks with a keen awareness of production, employee safety, environmental impact, communication, and overall field operational efficiency. Someone in this role must exhibit leadership and problem-solving skills and have basic knowledge of premise installations and extensive knowledge of underground utility construction operations including billing codes, equipment, labor skills, safe digging processes and procedures, and OSHA requirements.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Plans, directs, and organizes day-to-day operations for IPs in coordination with the Installation Supervisor with a focus on safety and production.
Ensures that the market meets or exceeds company completion and productivity rate targets based on the current capacity.
Adheres to and exceeds the company set expectations and responsibilities.
Maximizes production output of Construction IPs and Premise IPs.
Provides a field supervision presence on job sites throughout the market on a daily basis in order to ensure acceptable production in alignment with company objectives.
Works with the Installation Supervisor to develop workaround procedures for maintaining crew productivity during delays caused by other trades, customers, lack of materials, and absenteeism.
Leads by example and maintains a comprehensive understanding of company policies and procedures.
Continually builds trust and rapport with IPs, ESS Agents, and Management.
Monitors quality assurance and ensures installations meet customer specifications and industry standards.
Completes field audits and quality control tasks including live QCs, field interaction with IPs, and mentoring and molding IPs.
Promotes and completes work according to company specifications and quality standards.
Promotes and follows company safety guidelines.
Exemplifies the highest of conduct standards.
Promotes company quality, specifications, productivity, and compliance requirements.
Promotes healthy team morale, performance, and communication.
Acts as an ambassador for IPs and for the company.
Acts as the voice for IPs and continually provides a field perspective to management.
Oversees project plans, objectives, procedures, and performance standards within the boundaries of the company’s mission, values, and policies.
