Qualifications
Minimum 3 to 5 years of high-level fiber construction management. Preferred is a candidate that has worked from the ground up and can provide leadership and direction to all areas of the operation. Qualifications include a complete understanding of fiber design, construction and documentation, ability to use Microsoft Office and other applications software, personnel management, strong organizational skills and a valid driver's license. A background in business administration is a plus.

The Operations Manager position will be responsible for providing leadership, oversight and direction for all aspects of a five-year project. You will be the primary liaison between CAT5 and our customers, while managing all construction and office activity. Experience in managing large groups of in-house and subcontract personnel is required. Quality assurance and safety are overriding goals along with the imperative demand to satisfy customer needs.
Operations Manager's responsibilities and/or knowledge may include the following areas:
Design - Complete Understanding of Fiber Architecture and Design
Make Ready Engineering and Construction
Plat Maps - ROWs and Easements
Project Walkouts – White Lines
Knowledge of Aerial/UG Construction Materials and Tools
Aerial Construction- Fiber Construction Processes
UG Construction- Drilling, Plowing, Trenching and Locates
Fiber Splicing
Fiber - ORDR Measurements and Splice Docs
Knowledge of PON, FTTH, DWDM, CWDM
Commercial Installation Processes
Quality Assurance
Permitting - ROW, Traffic
Safety
Traffic Control
CDL Requirements
DOT
Damage Mitigation
Fleet Management
Admin - Excel, Word and Outlook
Strong Communications Skills
Invoicing and As-builts
