Respectfully, I am looking for fully operational independent drill crews to assist in additional work.
Job Description
2G Underground is looking for a fully operational drill crew(s) to assist in the increasing and ongoing amount of work in and around the Raleigh, NC area. Currently, there is approximately 6k feet of work that will require a slightly larger drill, 23x30 or a JT24 (in comparison to the 20x22 and JT20’s being used in other areas), in order to pull back (4) 2” conduit or (3) 2” & (1) 1.25” (with drop vaults) due to pre-reaming and pulling an 8” reamer. Along with that, there will be the installation of vaults and sometimes ground rods. Our scope of work will also include potholing, cold patch when necessary, and softscape restoration.
One of the most important aspects of construction is the picture documentation. The picture documentation will include pre-construction photos and a variety of photos during the placement of vaults all of which will be done with a GPS camera, which can be downloaded onto any smartphone. I will assist in the capturing of these photos and will also provide a laminated manual that will include of each of the required photos that your team can use as reference in order to successfully pass quality control. The pictures of these different phases of each job, which I will upload to a database, will have a direct determination on payment. Quality control performs desktop reviews of all work, and the pictures mean everything for these phases of construction to be inspected and passed.
All materials needed to complete the job will be provided that include conduit, vaults, tracer wire, ground rods, couplers, etc.
There is ongoing work that will last for years to come so if you are interested in long-term work, then it would be great to bring someone else on to join our team with long-term goals in mind. However, if you are only looking to get a couple jobs in to get where you need to go, then please be up front with your intentions.
Pay terms are net 30; however, if you prefer to be paid on a bi-weekly basis then we can discuss the details of that and the minimal percentage of each invoice it will cost. Due to several crews committing to work and then not showing up, 20% of each of the first 4 invoices will be withheld to cover expenses in the event a crew simply quits during a job which forces me to pull and reassign my own resources to complete the unfinished construction. The total amount that is withheld, however, will be paid back in full to the crew(s) that finish their entire PO they commit and have decided they do not want to do any additional work/PO’s.
I’m a former active-duty United States Marine and have a high level of self-respect and respect for others. My purpose is my family and treat everyone like I treat my own. I don’t think it is a tall order to have hopes of connecting with an established and experienced crew to put pipe in the ground in a safe and efficient manner. I take pride in a positive work environment, unity, respect and integrity.
