Job Description
• Key Roles for the Position:
• Lead Maintenance construction: Aerial, Underground
• Network maintenance
• Locates
• Capital Construction
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Drive company vehicle in performance of job duties
• Ensure crew’s adherence to company safety and policy plans.
• Follow maps and prints.
• Plan, work effectively, coordinate and assign crew member tasks, and meet committed completion dates.
• Accurately account for all employee hours expended each day by his crew.
• Accurately complete all required paperwork daily
• Set, remove, and repair utility poles.
• Guy, lash, de-lash, pull, and place strand, cable, and grounding systems.
• Coordinate crew’s efforts in construction and repair of the overhead plant
• Ensure all vehicles are properly used and maintained.
• Ensure the quality of each outside construction job according to NEC and Phonoscope standards
• Ensure appropriate Work Area Protection (WAP) is correctly deployed.
• Thrives in a team-oriented environment.
• Daily tasks which include building and constructing fiber optic cable plant
• Performs construction work such as digging holes and climbing utility poles.
• Responds to and participates in emergency and outage situations.
• Additional duties as assigned.
