Job Description

Kennedy Broadband Construction, LLC is a premier telecommunications contractor. As a leading telecommunications force, the company is responsible for large scale installations of aerial and underground infrastructure throughout the South Eastern US.

Tasks Required of a Project Manager:

Responsible for ADSS hot zone construction, confer with supervisory personnel, regional manager, contractors, and our customer to discuss and resolve matters, such as work procedures, complaints, progress, or construction problems.Plan, schedule, or coordinate construction project activities to meet deadlines.
Prepare and submit progress reports.
Plan, schedule, or coordinate construction project activities to meet deadlines.
Confer with safety personnel to review safety procedures.
Investigate damage, accidents, or delays at construction sites to ensure that proper construction procedures are being followed.
Develop or implement quality control programs.
Interpret and explain plans to administrative staff and workers.
Evaluate construction methods and determine cost-effectiveness of plans.
Direct and supervise construction or related workers.
Determine crew requirements for ongoing and anticipated work.
Request supplies or materials from customer to complete construction projects.
Track materials used per job/project.
Doing pre construction rideout of upcoming aerial work, as much as time permits, to spot possible make ready or right of way issues.
Putting together “Large project” meetings with 811, for UG projects in excess of 5000’.
Creating dig tickets and white lining UG work, well ahead of the crews.

Knowledge Required of a Project Manager:

Construction — Knowledge of materials, ADSS Fiber Construction methods, manpower and equipment needed.
English Language — Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
Administration and Management — Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources, Insuring accurate Paylocity clock ins and outs with all crew members, ensuring quality as-builts for customer and submitting as-builts to customer in their time frame.
Telecommunication Technology — Knowledge of the practical application of construction of telecommunication systems by applying principles, approved techniques, procedures, and safely utilizing the proper equipment.
Mechanical — Knowledge of industry (telecommunications) machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
Public Safety — Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, DOT and OSHA regulations and strategies to maintain a safe working environment for the public.
Clerical — Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.
