Unit Pay---Butler is offering a $1750* Sign on bonus. To qualify for Bonus you must be signed up by August 8th and start by August 15th. 6 day weeks available in certain areas. Direct Deposit Paid Weekly.....Per Diem for Out of state techs
Qualifications
Must have a valid Driver's License, Must be able to lift 70lbs, Must be able to work in various weather & terrain conditions, Experience Installing Cable TV, Direct TV, Dish, Fiber I&R, Telco experience, CATV, Coax, fiber drops, ONT and routers.
Other Requirements
Must have good oral and written communication skills, Must have Truck/Van/SUV with ladder rack and 28" ladder, Must have light meter and visual fault locator, Android device, Must have valid Driver’s License, pass background and drug screen
Job Description
This is Fiber install and repair work with as much work as you can handle with 6 days a week available to you.
Please be sure to have a proper work vehicle with ladders, cones, safety gear, all hand tools, light meter etc... You must show up ready and able to complete jobs.
Install & repair service at customer's premises that includes Internet, & Telephone, service(s). Install, replace, rearrange fiber jumpers and outside/inside wiring. Make various attachments to poles and buildings. Hang aerial fiber drops or place the drop in conduit as needed to complete installs along with mounting of an ONT, power supply and battery backup. Includes the installation of internet hubs, routers. Work may require climbing poles and/or ladders, crawling under dwellings and in attics underground activities and fishing walls. Installing Coax and CAT5 wiring.
Job Duties:
Follows established safety practices and procedures.
Must be able to work when needed and in all types of weather.
Must support and participate in promotion of Company products.
Must be able to work at heights.
Experience safe ladder climbing
Lifting tools and ladders.
Set up ladder on house, pole and cable and climb to working height.
Handle all necessary materials and supplies.
Must be able to use a computer (laptop) show that you can log on, log off, use windows, and get job
assignments, sign off jobs, write/send/receive e-mails as required, and do timesheets using Company
provided programs with Company provided training by the end of the qualifying period.
Must perform any other duties assigned.
Experience with toner, & Butt set
Understanding of loss, attenuation, and tiling.
Work in confined spaces.
Working within attics and crawl spaces.
Requirements:
• Technician must have their own truck, van, or SUV with ladder rack
• Technician must have their own tools to perform the job as well as an ANDROID smart phone & laptop
• Technician must have personal protective equipment (PPE) required for the position. Lace up boots with a defined 1/2-inch heel, hard hat, reflective safety vest, fall resistor, and safety cones. Other equipment may be required by local management.
• Must work varying shifts and hours including possible mandatory overtime, weekends, and holidays.
