Job Description
We’re currently looking for Aerial Crews that will be responsible for installing coax and fiber cables as well as the ability to splice COAX and FIBER using various construction equipment:
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Aerial Construction work:
- Install, repair and/or aerial CTV, coaxial and fiber cable.
- Place strand, pull fiber/coax cable, lash and delash, etc.
- Coax Splicing (Node Split - nice to have)
- Fiber Splicing (nice to have)
- Pole Transfers.
• Set up safety perimeter using signage, cones and safety barriers.
• Direct traffic in accordance with local DOT guidelines as necessary.
Skills & Qualifications:
• 1+ year of experience in telecommunications construction.
• Knowledge and understanding of OSHA safety requirements to complete the job(s) safely.
• Ability to climb/Gaff poles correctly.
• Ability to read and understand blue prints and/or work orders.
• Ability to identify aerial equipment.
• Ability to work under pressure and in a fast paced and quickly changing environment.
• Ability to work on call including evenings and weekends as needed.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work and climb up to 35 feet.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license required.
