Job Description

Responsible for assisting in the daily operations of Shipping and Receiving functions to include processing all external and internal shipments, preparation and basic assembly of telecommunication radios and equipment.

Job Description:

Prepare, verify, and keep records on all shipments.
Affix identifying information and shipping instructions on packages, crates or containers.
Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages, and correspond with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
Maintain inventory and tracking of incoming and outgoing materials and supplies.
Assemble telecommunications equipment utilizing diagrams and basic hand tools (training provided).
May use hand truck and dolly to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping-and-receiving platform to storage or work area.
May require lifting and/or moving objects more than 50 pounds and pushing up to 100 pounds.
Deliver and route equipment to various locations.
Other duties as assigned which may include helping General Foreman and Field Technicians.
REQUIRED PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

Shipping and Receiving work by its nature requires physical abilities to include lifting 50 lbs. regularly. Full dexterity is required including bending, kneeling, twisting, fine motor skills with hands and fingers, rotation of the head and neck. Ability to see, hear and be alert while operating equipment. Ability to operate lift equipment and perform work while observing all safety rules when utilizing ladders or any equipment powered or otherwise. Ability to stand for prolonged hours.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma or GED
Current driver’s license. Class (B) license would be a plus but not required
1+ years of relevant experience
Customer service and professionalism
Self-starter, motivated, team player with the ability to prioritize work
Demonstrated willingness and ability to work independently, productively, accept and follow direction
Highly organized and excellent record-keeping skills
Ability to frequently move and lift 50+ pounds
Computer savvy. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite preferred (including Excel)
Forklift certification is a plus but not required
Candidates must be able to successfully pass a drug screen and background check, including criminal history
