Qualifications

The Project Manager provides support and development to technicians involved in the building and maintaining of the fiber and copper networks. Works with other members of the management team to develop and implement strategic plans to achieve department goals. Responsible for working with local company management, engineers, state and federal inspectors to fulfill project goals and project completion promises.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Promotes safety awareness among employees and assures compliance with safety regulations and reporting. Ensures that subordinates have proper safety equipment and follow safety policies. Ensures that disciplinary action regarding violations of safety policy are enforced
• Provides quality internal and external customer service surrounding the “Company Values”
• Manage the submittals, requisitions and change order process
• Manage multi-contractor projects as well as contractor compliance with project documents
• Actively supports the training and development of subordinates
• Work with field supervisors and upper management to complete projects on time
• Assures the completion of scheduled work by overseeing daily activities
• Manages contract labor utilization and oversees contracted technicians
• Provide detailed progress reports to designated leadership
• Helps resolve complex customer issues and provide technical evaluations, advice and guidance
• Increases job knowledge progressively, and exhibits the ability to learn and apply new skills
• Ensure that all projects under the position’s direction are administered in compliance with all relevant local and federal laws and regulations, including those related to insurance, safety, labor relations, EEOC, etc.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years experience (Bi-lingual proficiency is a BONUS)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Field service experience with fiber installation
• Must have proficient, working knowledge with computer systems such as Microsoft office, MS Outlook, and computer operating systems.
• Very strong organization, communication, and leadership skills
• Ability to read and interpret area maps
• Perform duties independently by exercising discretion and sound judgment
• Ability to drive Company vehicle in a safe and responsible manner

*Pass a Drug Test/Screening and maintain a clean driving record
