Job Description
New placement of Aerial and Underground fiber in Phoenix AZ area. Experience with Telecom Construction, knowledge of aerial cable placement equipment, utility lines, poles, and production report preparation.
Job Requirements
• Stage truck and equipment for work assignment
• Safely operate equipment following company policies and local regulations
• Place strand and pole transfers
• Climb poles as required
• Operate hand and power tools of all types
• Installation or transfers of down guys and pole risers
• Clean and prepare sites
• Tree trim and pull lasher
• Demonstrated knowledge of construction prints as well as ability to read print
• Perform related duties as assigned by the supervisor
Education and Work Experience Requirements:
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to manage work deadlines while keeping a positive attitude
• Work on assigned work segments with little oversight
• High school diploma or GED required
• Pre-employment drug screening
• Valid Driver’s License (Required), CDL Class A or Class B (Preferred), DOT Med card (Required)
• Ability to operate the bucket and climb poles (preferred)
Workplace & Physical Requirements
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to perform the essential job functions safely and successfully
• Candidate must possess the ability to talk, listen and speak clearly on the telephone
• Must be able to stand, walk, sit, and crouch for extended periods
• Work is performed outside in hot weather
• Individuals must have an acceptable driving record
