Responsibilities include installing, maintaining, and repairing our customer's telecommunications facilities. This position requires an excellent working knowledge of telecommunications construction, familiarity with aerial lift devices, utility lines, poles, and the functionality of each. A successful Lineman will posse the ability to identify and troubleshoot effectively
Job Requirements
• Operate Bucket truck following all safety and traffic regulations
• Assist with pole framing and placement of strand
• Climb poles as required
• Operate hand and power tools of all types
• Assist with installation of down guys and anchors
• Clean and prepare sites
• Assist with the direction of traffic flow in accordance with local D.O.T. guidelines
• Pull lasher
• trim trees
• Demonstrated knowledge of construction prints as well as ability to read print
• Perform related duties as assigned by the supervisor
Education and Work Experience Requirements:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external teams
• Proficient computer proficiency (Word, Excel, Field Wire)
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude
• Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion
• Valid Driver’s License (Required), CDL Class A or Class B (Preferred), DOT Med card (Required)
• OSHA10 & 30 Certifications (Preferred)
• Ability to operate the bucket and climb poles
Workplace & Physical Requirements
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to perform the essential job functions safely and successfully
• Candidate must possess the ability to talk, listen and speak clearly on the telephone
• Must be able to stand, walk, sit, and crouch for extended periods
• Work is performed both inside and outside in all weather conditions, on rugged terrains, and on active job sites
• Individuals must have a valid driver’s license and driving record meeting the company policy conditions
