Salary Range 24-30 per hour direct deposit weekly

Qualifications

Three plus (3) years of telecommunications/wired construction experience. Valid Driver's License and the ability to pass CDL class "A". Must be able to climb poles and work at height with gaffs. Must be able to work in aerial buckets that have a restriction of 300 pounds with PPE and tools. Ability to lift and move up to 70 pounds including ability to carry, climb and operate extension ladder, (approx. 28 ft high and 75 pounds). Ability to work from heights up to 45’. Read and Write English

Other Requirements

Hands-on knowledge of Outside Plant Construction techniques (aerial & underground) Ability to interpret and understand construction prints. Familiarity with Rules for Overhead Electric Line Construction or Public Right of Way experience. Experience related to aerial and below-ground fiber construction, node construction and related utility make-ready work. The work often requires that you drive utility vehicles and work outdoors. Must work under challenging weather conditions.

Job Description

In this role, you will be expected to safely perform all associated tasks with the construction, maintenance, and restoration of all overhead and underground facilities (excluding vaults, manholes, and direct buried facilities). Lineman will be expected to safely perform all associated tasks with the construction, maintenance and restoration of all overhead and underground facilities They will be responsible for making sure that all jobs assigned are worked in accordance with company design standards and work methods. May be required to work extended hours in inclement weather, may be required to travel throughout the system in cases of emergencies and storms, to restore the system. Lineman may work alone, on a crew, or to supervise a lower classification such as a ground worker, apprentice, or helper without direct Responsible for the placement of communications infrastructure and telecommunication pathway material. Unloads and loads materials, reads plans and specifications, tends machines, and assist equipment operators, and other construction/installation site workers.


Job site preparation to include taking appropriate steps to avoid hazardous conditions for work crew and the general public.
Assist construction equipment operators and perform other duties as may be assigned.
Review and verify materials needed to complete an install.
Reviewing, interpreting and evaluating assigned services requests, work orders, and blueprints/diagrams
Knowledge of standard practices when operating power tools.
Survey and measure equipment understanding knowledge
Understands the basic Scope of the Project and all aspects of pathway construction.
Understand and practice all safety procedures in compliance with ASG and OSHA standards.supervision of a higher level classification. Lineman are expected to have the flexibility to work any shift at their assigned work location.
