Job Description
PRG is seeking a talented, experienced, and driven Field Surveyor to survey poles for a cable company project.
Essential Functions
Prepares routine field notes for projects, such as the preparation of various drawings of structures and equipment systems derived from layouts and sketches
Follows established technical specifications to prepare drawings.
Job includes traveling to commissioned work sites, gaining access, and surveying the area and the target buildings(s).
Field Surveyors may be responsible for client and customer contact and obtaining permission to visit the commissioned sites.
Responsible for sketching schematics immediately following a field survey.
Work is 90-100% in the field
Qualifications
Telecommunications or utility experience is ideal.
The ideal applicant may have been a field tech, surveyor, or construction coordinator in the field
Ability to read and understand drawings
Ability to use Google Maps and Google Earth
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of products
Excellent verbal, written, phone, and interpersonal skills
Proven strong analytic / problem-solving skills
Excellent organizational skills.
Background check required
Physical Demands:
Work is 100% outdoors, sometimes in inclement weather
While performing duties, the employee is required to walk extensively, sit, stand, and climb stairs throughout the day.
Must have a car and a valid driver's license.
The work area will be in the Erie, PA area
