Job Description
A Fiber Optic Construction Supervisor is responsible for managing, supervising and supporting the construction efforts for our underground and aerial fiber optic construction requirements with emphasis on FTTH projects.
Essential Functions include:
- Excellent understanding of strand placement, set up requirements and required materials to accomplish the task
- Excellent understanding of fiber placement, storage loops, tail requirements and loop requirements for FTTH
- Excellent understanding of design map and ability to understand tombstones, footages, pole information and locations of tails for
electronics
- Good understanding of powering requirements for network start up
- hands on experience in splicing fiber optic and coax cable is a huge plus
Other requirements Include:
- Good knowledge of using Microsoft Office, Google Docs, Outlook is very desirable
- Must present a positive, professional image to employees, customer, and clients in all interactions
- Must have good problem-solving skills and ability to think on your feet
- Ability to work weekends if needed
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must have valid driver's license
