Must be available for work Mon-Fri, 40+ hours a week. Occasional out of town work (Mon-Thurs), but home every weekend. Per diem provided.
Job Description
Drill operator requirements:
•Must be familiar with Vermeer 20X22 or Ditch Witch JT20
•Must be able to operate the drill safely
•Must have experience operating the drill near active utilities
•Must be familiar with locate systems
• Must perform good housekeeping techniques during and after completion of work
•Must follow all OSHA, FDOT, ANSI standards, as well as company rules & regulations
Drill operator job description:
•Drive, set up, and perform general daily maintenance on the drill
•Set up shots without Synergy Utility Group oversight and perform various pipe configurations of underground utility installation
•Drill near active utilities
•Avoid any marked utilities and implement all predrilling precautions to prevent utility strikes
•Communicate with supervisors for job details
•Delegate jobsite duties to the crew
•Able to stand for 10 hours a day
•Able to lift 50+ pounds
Crew Leader: Must be able to set and implement the safety standard set out by Synergy Utility Group to crew members they are overseeing. Coach, counsel and train any crew members they are overseeing. Lead their crew to be safe, productive, and keep the best interest of each crew member and Synergy Utility Group first and foremost. Crew leader isn’t limited to the areas outlined above but is comprised of the ability to lead a crew of 3-5 employee in a safe and productive manner.
Locator requirements:
•Must be able to establish a safe work area
•Must be able to calibrate and set up locator (Falcon 5 or Subsite locators)
•Ability to direct and steer the drill head in a safe manner
•Locate and work safely near traffic and roadways
•Familiarity with working near active utilities; Familiarity with locate systems and standards
• Must perform good housekeeping techniques after completion of work
•Must follow all OSHA, FDOT, ANSI standards, as well as company rules & regulations
•Able to stand for 10 hours a day
•Able to lift 50+ pounds

•Identify and expose any and all marked utilities in or around the path of construction

•Follow instructions from supervisor
