Job Description
***We are currently seeking 1099 Contractors for Fiber Optic Installation Technicians.***
***Preference given If you own your own bucket truck/van, Must have own tools and be ready to start immediately!!
The role of a Fiber Optic Installation Technician consists of leading and being part of a fiber optic cable pulling/blowing crew using product support equipment and performing any/all other activities related to fiber pulling/blowing.
Basic daily maintenance of provided vehicle: check fluids, clean and organize vehicle
Complete daily production reports, mark-up maps,
Reconcile all issued parts and materials on a daily basis to ensure accurate material usage counts
Frequently work independently
Underground construction experience a plus but not required
Must be able to effectively communicate with crew.
Be available to work occasional overtime and emergencies, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Must have strong physical endurance for hot, cold and wet weather conditions, repetitive bending, stooping, lifting, transferring equipment and materials up to 75 pounds.
