Experience with bucket truck aerial splicing and underground fiber splicing

Bucket Truck with splice lab and tools will be provided

Experience fiber splicer wanted. Motivated team player who is willing to lead and teach a growing new team of fiber technicians. Truck and tools will be provided along with workers comp insurance, the position is a 1099, you will be given a W9 and be responsible for your own taxes at the end of the year. Long term project, 3-5 years, mostly aerial terminals and straight splices. There is some underground and direct buried that will come up during the project. Technician needs to have strong trouble shooting skills and be able to effectively communicate online via text, email, and even possibly power point presentations and be able to interact in person with engineers, co workers, management and the occasional customer contact. Must be able to read prints and test with an OTDR, experience working in manholes is essential. Technician must be proficient with single and ribbon fiber splices, everything from a simple 4 port aerial terminal in a snap closure to a 1,728 spider ribbon straight splice in the underground will be expected. Must be able to pass a drug test and background check and have an excellent driving record to obtain medical DOT card. Per diem $150 day and pay is production based. Expected billing is from 6-12k per week, pay will start at 20% of the weeks gross billing and could be higher depending on technicians experience level. Per diem will be given before the week starts and pay will be net 7, you will be paid every Friday for the previous weeks work. Your first check will be given the 2nd Friday after your first day.
