Successful candidate will be paid piecework but will have an hourly rate assigned as well based on experience for any out of scope activities. $500.00 signing bonus after 90 days.
Qualifications
Must have experience with prepping and splicing loose tube and ribbon fiber, testing with OTDR and light sources, ability to read and understand Telco and other customer’s design prints, troubleshoot when necessary, and complete customer documentation. Tyco and Coyote enclosures used along with Clearfield pole or ground mount hubs. This position also provides for an experienced apprentice to work with and assist to increase skills and productivity.
Other Requirements
Must have own hand tools, valid license in good standing, DOT medical card can be provided but is a must,. Must also be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen. Job will include working aloft or in UG applications.
Job Description
This is long term work, now in our 30th year as a prime contractor in CT. We currently have two major, multi year FTTH projects in motion along with on going fiber activity and BAU work for three other major network providers. Overtime is not usually necessary but is used when needed. We are a growing and energetic company looking for an addition to an already great team! Work is currently being done in splice labs and vans with a trailer available.
