Splice 1-24-$350, Splice 1-24 during Maintenance Window-$550, Splice 25-48-$24 each, Splice 49-96-$22 each, Splice 97-288-$20 each, Set up fee & Mob when applicable
Qualifications
A minimum of 5 years experience is required specifically in node splicing for Cable TV Companies such as; Mediacom, Spectrum, Charter, Etc
Other Requirements
Sub-Contractors must have the necessary Trucks, Tools, Equipment, and Safety gear to perform Mainline Construction. Must have all necessary Insurances, GL, WC, Commercial Auto.
Job Description
THIS IS NOT A FTTH SPLICING PROJECT-WE ARE SEARCHING FOR COMPANIES WITH EXTENSIVE KNOWLEDGE IN CABLE TV NODE SPLIT, MAINTENCANCE, NEW BUILD, RESIDENTIAL & COMMERCIAL SPLICING. WILL NEED TO BE EFFECIENT RING CUT, MID SHEATH, TERMINATING FIBER IN COMMERCIAL APPLICATIONS, PERFORMING WORK DURING THE MAINTENANCE WINDOW. WORKING WITH MULTIPLE VARIETIES OF FIBER OPTIC CABLE ARMORED FIBER, UNI-TUBE, STRING FIBER.
Responsibilities:
Splice fiber optic cables in both outdoor and indoor settings
Read, create and maintain splicing schematics and diagrams
Maintain control of outside plant (OSP) activities surrounding the assigned work site(s)
Taking and maintaining accurate splicing and field notes
Support project timelines
Inspection and providing accurate readings for projects
Other duties and responsibilities may be required and/or assigned
Qualifications
A minimum of 5 years experience is required specifically in node splicing for Cable TV Companies such as; Mediacom, Spectrum, Charter, etc.
This IS NOT a FTTH Splicing position.
This position requires: Node Splits, Cold Splicing, Night Splicing, Backhaul, & Tower Work
Must have Bucket Truck experience
Must have a valid "For Hire" drivers license (MO Class E or equivalent), and a clean driving record.
Perform work in accordance with industry standards
Read and follow design engineers instructions and specifications
Maintain the scope of work on the project and adhere to safety procedures
Knowledge of how to fusion splice both loose tube and ribbon fiber optic cables. Know how to place a mid-sheath splice
Ability to pay close attention to detail and make good sound decisions based on information given.
Ability to multitask and stay organized under pressure.
Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, be dependable and punctual
Able to lift/carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs as needed with or without assistance
Successful completion of pre-employment background checks, drug screen and motor vehicle record checks are required
Must be authorized to work in the United States
