Job Description
The role of a Horizontal/Directional Drill Operator and Locator includes:
Operating horizontal/directional frill rigs, locating equipment and product support equipment.
Perform semi-skilled activities related to HDD locating must be familiar with industry standards, policies, guidelines, and procedures.
Operates horizontal directional drill for installation of underground telecommunications cable conduit, including fiber optic cable.
Duties to include:
Set up and clean-up of work site including traffic and pedestrian control
Ensures all applicable permits and locates are complete and are on site
Performs proper maintenance by greasing, oiling, and making minor repairs on equipment
Requirements:
Must have a valid Driver’s License
Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check, motor vehicle record check, drug test, and job related physical
