Qualifications
Must be competent and proficient in use of Fusion Splicers and OTDR's along with Power Meters and testing of fiber optic networks. Must be punctual and able to start a splicing job from beginning to end of job with troubleshooting and ODTR test docs
Job Description
-Ability to install, trouble-shoot, splice and maintain fiber optic systems.
-Prep and hang fiber optic enclosures, nodes and related equipment
-Perform fusion splicing.
-Perform OTDR tests
-Ability to troubleshoot problems
-Operate aerial lift and other related equipment to perform job functions
-Frequently communicate with management on workload status
-May occasionally perform routine construction work: pulling rope/cables, climbing ladders, using hand tools, digging with a shovel, etc.
-Willingness to Travel
