DOE, $20-$40 per hr.
Qualifications
Must have at least 2 years of fiber optic splicing outside plant experience, loose tube single & ribbon fiber. Must know how to properly build FOSC TYCO splice cases, must know how to properly operate & analyze an OTDR. Must have a valid DL & good driving record, pass a background check & drug test.
Other Requirements
Required to have your own hand tools, we provide all specialty tools/equipment.
Job Description
This position is for a traveling fiber optic splicing tech, we have numerous projects in the North West, Mid West & South Texas areas & possibly TN, splicing new long haul fiber backbone cable. This is a traveling position, we provide everything from the Truck/Van, all specialty equipment, paid meals & hotels, fuel card, company credit card & laptop. This is a 6-7 days a week with OT position.
We work until we catch up with the fiber placing crews & then sometimes get 1-3 weeks off until they get more cable placed or we jump to another project, we have no issues keeping guys employed & busy. We are a very reputable company, our work is 2nd to none.
We provide PTO, Medical/Dental & Retirement.
