Job Description

Construction Manager Telecom.

This position is accountable for operational aspects of the execution of the work, including the planning, tracking, field engineering, safety, and reporting.

This position reports to the Project Manager. The position is located at the Pikeville, Kentucky project location.
MAJOR JOB ELEMENTS
• Serve as main point-of-contact by establishing, maintaining and managing subcontractors relating to project performance.
• Report project status and performance data as required to management and other stakeholders.
• Ensure strict adherence to all H&M Safety Policies, Procedures and Practices.
• Responsible for P&L of assigned work.
• Plan, monitor, and control the project work execution to the customer specifications
• Direct oversight of the construction management team to include construction management and supervision, field engineering, project coordinators, fleet, and utility coordinators.
• Responsibility for coordination of schedule and interface with engineering and business functions with the construction group.
• Support early identification of cost issues and identification of appropriate remedial actions, ensure timely and accurate updates and report to management.
• Support schedule detail input with project controls team. Coordination and implementation of schedule with construction team. Responsible for meeting schedule commitments.
• Review design and specification documents to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Lead role in the optimization of construction practices, constructability reviews and tracking.
• Knowledge of QA/QC and Safety programs
• Ability to communicate well, including sound written and oral communication skills.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Five (+) years of experience in a lead role. Construction management, project management, project controls, or project (field) engineering. Five (+) years in telecom.
• Detail oriented and skilled at multi-tasking to complete several deadlines accurately and on time.
• Good understanding of computer related software for tracking, reporting, and cost evaluation.
• Ability to travel as necessary and on extended assignments to facilitate the implementation of the project management program.
• Ability to communicate well, including sound written and oral communication skills.
