Qualifications
2 + years experience in CATV/ TELCO fields including coax / fiber splicing and activation. Splice Fiber optics & coax trunk / feeder with activation. Complete fiber documentation to customers standards, Perform OTDR testing, meter testing & record splice losses. Operate and daily inspections of bucket trucks and ladders. Perform night splicing and activation when needed. Flexibility to work on call and emergency situations. Experience in mid sheath entries and cuts.
Other Requirements
Ability to operate bucket truck up to 40' heights. Ability to carry and climb 32' ladder. Ability to be a leader and direct ground hands as needed. Ability to install strand, lash cables perform pole transfers, activate and install power supplies, line extenders, nodes, trunk amps etc. Candidate must pass Crimshield background test, MVR and Drug screening.
