Job Description
Utilities One is looking for a qualified Pole Loading Fielder for San Francisco Bay Area.
The Pole Loading Fielder is responsible for the collection of field pole data to perform pole loading analysis. The Fielder will conduct surveys of assigned poles providing survey documents, pictures, and other information necessary for the project. Experience with electric utilities, telecommunications, or an engineering services company is required.
Requirements:
- At least 1-3 years of OSP engineering and/or fielding of pole analysis data experience.
- Knowledge of OSP Engineering/Construction including span lengths, pole loading, intrusive testing, anchoring, and attachment heights, as well as familiarity with joint use regulations.
- Familiarity with GO 95 & GO 128 requirements.
- Knowledge of CPUC guidelines.
- Understanding of AT&T & PG&E construction & application standards.
- Experience in Right of Way.
- Strong working knowledge of pole loading software (O-Calc preferred) or other construction modeling software is required.
- Experience with ESRI, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, PLS-CADD, MicroStation, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is a plus.
- Proven ability to communicate with clients and project teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in Microsoft Office.
