$18 to $20/hr + major medical/aflac, PTO, paid holidays and 3% matching retirement after 90 days
Qualifications
10 years experience in aerial construction experience. Must be able to climb poles proficiently. Clean MVR, pre-employment drug test required. Must be safe, work with integrity, work with care for yourself, your customer and your fellow team members, be productive and innovative to reach project specific production requirements and to further your career with a growing name in the telecommunications industry.
Other Requirements
Belt/hooks/squeeze/boots required. Program available for company to provide and deduct from check until bought.
Job Description
Lineman is responsible for the safe, efficient construction and splicing ( if coax) of aerial telecommunications systems for our local fiber/cable contracts. He/she will complete all work in accordance to specifications set forth by the customer and with exceptional workmanship in conformance with our company values. The lineman will be expected to develop and keep good relationships with customer personnel and become an invaluable asset that the customer can rely on for anything aerial related. In many situations in coax maintenance work, unexpected situations arise. It is expected that the head lineman has the skills and critical thinking to diagnose the problem, create a plan, coordinate that with the customer for approval and resolve the issue.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Completing span replacements, new construction and coax/fiber system maintenance (pole transfers, tree trimming, resags, etc) with assistance from Junior Lineman
Communication on a daily basis with customer to update job location, materials needed and job completions
Recording all work completed and turning progress reports in to company admin for billing
Ensuring timely completion of jobs, pace of the crew will be the responsibility of this position
Keeping all company vehicles clean and presentable
Ensuring no damage to properties at the jobsite.
Coordinating with company admin on any one calls required for anchor placement so that there are no delays in work
Coordinating with underground crews in order to work in splicing of their completed jobs so that it may be activated and billed
