Job Description
WE ARE SEEKING
An experienced Fiber Splicer trainer.
PROGRAM OBJECTIVES
Train new hires
Read aerial and underground fiber splicing prints.
Complete jobs in a timely and cost- efficient manner according to customer specifications and industry standards.
Complete job site documentation, such as safety checklists, time, and production sheets etc.
Operate single and multi-mode fiber splicing machines
Operate fiber splicing machines for single and ribbon splicing
Test fiber using OTDR and handheld test equipment for unidirectional and bi directional testing applications
Troubleshoot and repair fiber splices not within test reading requirements
Work in and around ongoing construction areas to perform fiber splicing activities
Utilize test equipment to trouble shoot and repair fiber not within acceptable tolerance readings
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Experience in aerial and underground fiber splicing construction
Ability to mount both aerial and underground closures using snow shoes etc. as applicable
Class C license and excellent driving record required
Excellent communication skills to communicate with staff, management team, client or outside officials or other representatives
Must be able to pass a background, DMV, drug screen and color blind test
