> in 1979 & 80, in new jersey, we spliced a whole lot of coax without coring tools. tube cutters to cut aluminum. carefully clean center conductor. then take torch and heat up end of aluminum so radiation sleeve slips into cable .this was approved by their engineer. talk about the good old days.
