Re:need help with S.A. system amp 2

Tom is 100% correct the noise figure on a SYS II is 10.5 dB if you hit it at this level the C/N will be -59.25 if you hit it lower you will most likley not acheive EOL performance target.

>Good info bellow, However if you're using system II without a design just keep in mind that you don't hit it below 10.5 on the input. Or your just amplifing noise.

>>The sys II amplifier high gain dual has a station gain of 40 dB if you are running it manual 38 dB in thermal with a 9dB interstage EQ [keep this turned up to 9dB] and 35 dB gain in AGC, the output is dependent on the performance you are trying to acheive check with system design spec. The internal tilt of this amplifier is 6.8dB[ +/- .5] The AGC pilot is 445 MHz or ch. 61 you pad the AGC to 29 dB on channel 61.Hoipe this helps.

>>>Any one know what level you are supposed to run these S.A. system amp 2 out at on the high end. If it makes any difference these are system amp 2 dual, it has 2 feeder legs..
