                                            >I've never spliced B4 using 2 piece .840 PPC Pin Fittings. They are new to the prime also, no spec info came in the box with them. This is new cold plant with no s/s or ext.

There is a mark on every connector that is a gauge for cutting your center conductor. For .840 cable the spec is almost 1.25 inches. You can check this by placing the threaded part of the connector against the cored sheath and look to see if the center conductor is to the gauge mark on the body of the connector. Also most coring tools for QR cable have an auto stop feature. This helps for speed and consistancy.
