I watch a group of six stocks which includes CommScope, Scientific Atlanta, Amphenol (Times Fiber), Thomas and Betts, Motorola, and Arris (Antec because of its ties to AT&T).
There is a theory that stock-price-movement (up or down) precedes news, or a few influential people have information before others.
As a group, the above six stocks have appreciated 21% in the last four weeks while the broader market (S&P 500) has gone up 11%. Despite the recent stock market turbulence, this could be an indicator that 2002 will be a better year for cable construction. lol
