I’ve only been in the industry for 7yrs all as a in-house employee, we have one subcontractor aerial crew who do great work only 2-3 guys on it but they get all the big work and ever need help with road crossing or traffic control or bullshit easment work they call us to help or lash up the easement work, other than that we do all the maintenance like on call 24/7 and any storm work in the area and most of the year they let us work 6days a week getting 50-65hr weeks is pretty easy and they aren’t really strict with us at all kinda just let us do what we want as long as the work gets done. I think this is a great way to run a business as a prime they get the BAU contract with us being in-house and they also get all the new big new builds for the contractor.
