Re: Small firm quality Drop bury

Im not sure what kind of service you provide, so I can t be specific but I can tell you there are 2 kinds of Customer in this business, 1) the ones that look at price only.  Low bid gets the job.  And 2) the smart ones that find and keep a good contractor that is honest, looks out for the owner of the project and does not have to be watched because they only do the job right.  That said, If you did good work for your former employer, they are probably satisfied with his work (althought you did the work) and do not want to change contractors.  I have had multiple employees but they Hired my company not the employee.  So they are unlikely to hire you.

Contacts are the key to operating a sucessful business.   You need to get in front of the customers.  Let them know what you do, be able to prove the quality of you work and how much work you can do.  I have spent years talking to the right people before I got my first job with that company.   You might try to find a smaller company that doesnt need the volume of a larger company to work for.  What ever you do DO NOT LOWER YOU PRICE JUST TO GET A JOB!  Some job are in demand in the spring, others are in more demand in the fall.  You may want ot make some cold calls during those periods.

I have been in this business so long, rocks were soft when I started.
