Sometimes splicing out in the elements can not be avoided but a clean climate controlled environment will always give you the best results. In your situation, a tent with a portable AC may help. The worst splicing results I have ever observed was splicing done up on a bucket truck out in the wind, dirt, ‘heat, and humidity.
