I never ran like this but I had an owner of a large construction company once tell me that this was how he bid:
20% equipment/tools, 20% back office adm expense, 40% crew-benefits-tax, 20% profit... Must of worked for him as he did in excess of $50 million every year.
As I've said before, it's best to use your own way of determining what is a profit
