are you working direct or under another contractor...if under another, have them quote you the rate they are paying and see if you can make a profit at it. Alot of unknows to give you a rate: are you stubbing out at the bottom, what is the terrain, you hauling off exces dirt/rock, is the location marked ID as with other utilites in area, is it back yard ...curb side..THE other guys quote of $350 sounds about right...but under some conditions it could be as high as $525....You gotta figure 3 hr which includes getting mateerial, travel and set up time.
