I use this one without the extended shaft. Used mostly in Florida (lots of sand goes in easy) Using in Louisiana right now goes down further than what the old ancor crackers would do. I usually dig down a foot or so, just because it is easier to put it on the anchor. I would buy again alot better and more efficient than twisting bu hand.
