You need to do your homework.  I have had a bunch of contacts on the bar.  Some good, more bad.  I always check out the companies that ask for help.   Most I won't work for.  The ones I have worked for were great to work for.   I have also hired help that was good.  I have hired help that did not ever show up.  even though the night before they said they would be on site in the morning .  So it is a cops shoot most of the time.  If I do go to work as a sub, I will only send one crew to feel them out first.  If they are worthy of more crews, I will send them only after the first payment is accurate and made on time.
